The biggest hotel in Tartu, the Dorpat, will open its doors on Tuesday, about a week earlier than planned.
CEO Gea Puidak explained that the hotel was completed earlier than expected. Construction started in July 2006. With this new hotel, Tartu gets an additional 410 beds. Next year the city will get a new 900-seat conference centre. The Dorpat was developed by Rondam Group AS, which belongs to entrepreneur Neinar Seli. EEK 130 million (EUR 8.3 million) was invested.
