The museum is situated on the Dole Island and placed in the manor house built in 1898. Exposition tells about history of the Daugava waterway, professions of boatmen, ferrymen, fishermen and raftsmen.
In the former park of the estate on the picturesque bank of the Daugava River there is an open-air exposition - fishermen’s homested with collection of fishing tools and household items. Under prior arrangement visitors can book a place for picnic or guided excursion around the island or to nearby Salaspils town. From time to time various events are held there.
