Rising prices are typical for all the country’s resorts.

Rimantas Palionis, director of Druskininkai Tourism and Business Information Centre, states that prices went up in the spa resort due to investment in the hotels' renovation. For example, prices at the Egle sanatorium went up by several euros. Nida's prices have risen by LTL 50 (EUR 15) per night. Viktorija Katenaite of the Culture and Tourism Information Centre in Nida explains that the price difference between this and last year should not be very big. She adds that accommodation rented in people's flats will cost from LTL 30 to LTL 40 per night. Rooms in hotels and guest houses will vary from LTL 120 to LTL 500. Food prices, which were already inflated in Neringa, may go up by 30-40 percent. [ Baltic Stand By ]
