„ZooExpo 2016”

International dog show in Kipsala will present more than 3 000 dogs of almost 220 species. Dogs for the first time will contend the Riga Winner title. Among the contenders there will be dogs of rare breeds – the Dutch Shepherd Dog, Broholmer of the Danish Mastiff, the Havanese, the Tibetan Terrier and the Wetterhoun or Frisian Water Dog – not registered in our country and seen in Kipsala dog shows at best.

International Cat Show in two days will gather about 500 four-legged participants from neighbouring countries – Estonia and Lithuania as well as Poland and Belarus, but most part of participants will be cats from Latvia boasting excellent pedigree records in at least four generations. For the first time ZooExpo 2015 will present 33 species of cats, including animals with very unusual coat and eye colour. The show will also present the Munchkin cat, a breed of cat characterized by its very short legs. As every year, the most beautiful cats of various breeds will receive the honorary title of Latvian Winner.
